Adverty AB’s Privacy Policy

LAST UPDATED: May 25, 2018

Adverty AB (“Adverty,” “we” or “us”) understands the importance of privacy. Adverty operates a desktop, console and mobile Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality ad network (the “Ad Network” or the “Services”) through which Adverty displays targeted, contextual ads. Our clients are “Advertisers” that wish to distribute ad content through the Adverty Ad Network, and “Publishers” that want to display ads to “end users” of their games and applications (“application” or “app”). In this Privacy Policy (“Policy”), we describe how we collect, use, and disclose information that we obtain from end users in connection with the Adverty Ad Network.

What Information Do We Collect and Why?

We do not collect name, email address or contact information from end users. However, in order to operate the Adverty Ad Network and to display ads to end users we may automatically collect certain information from end users within a single application, including:

We may use various tracking technologies to collect this information, such as pixel tags and pixel impression trackers from third party services and tracking technologies. We may also receive a list of unique identifiers from Publishers and Advertisers, which we may use to determine to what end users to display (or not display) certain ads.

Separately, we may also collect email, contact, payment and related information from publishers and advertisers.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information that we gather in order to operate the Adverty Ad Network, including:

How We Share Your Information

We may share the information that we collect about end users as follows:

Privacy Practices of Publishers

In our Terms & Conditions, we require Adverty's Publishers to post a privacy policy, to obtain all required end user consents, and to comply with all applicable laws and self-regulatory guidelines, but we are not responsible for your privacy practices. To assist you in your compliance with your obligations under applicable law, our Privacy Policy contains information on the way Adverty processes end user personal data.

In particular, information given to the end users who are based in the EU at the time their consent is asked, should include the following:

Rights of Data Subjects

Adverty recognizes that any individual in the EU has the following rights in relation to their information according to GDPR:

Some of your information can be changed or deleted by following the process provided in the Online Services Account, unless we must keep the information for legitimate business or legal reasons. If you delete certain of your information, your account may become deactivated.

If you wish to make a request based on the above, please inform us by visiting adverty.com and going to the ‘Contact Us’ page. We may request evidence of your identity for verification purposes. We will respond to your request within the applicable statutory term.

If an end user exercises any of their rights with you with respect to the processing of their information by us, please use the tools in the Online Services Account to accommodate their request, or, if this is not possible, please visit adverty.com and go to the ‘Contact Us’ page.

Third-Party Links

Ads within the Adverty Ad Network may contain links to third-party websites and applications. Any access to and use of such linked websites or mobile apps is not governed by this Policy, but instead is governed by the privacy policies of those third parties. We are not responsible for the information practices of such third parties.

How Can I Opt Out of Behavioral Targeting?

If you’d like to opt-out from having this information used to tailor advertising to you, please follow the instructions provided below. Note, we do not collect your name, email address, contact information, or other personally identifiable information.

Once you’ve opted out, we will no longer use information about your activities to deliver behaviorally targeted advertising to your device. You will continue to receive advertising after you opt-out, but it may not be tailored to your interests.

Depending on the type of device you have, you will need to either change settings on the device or submit your Device ID to us as noted below.

You can opt-out from Adverty collecting information about applications stored on the device. You will continue seeing advertising, but it will be much less relevant. To opt out from receiving Interest-Based Ads follow these steps.

For iOS mobile devices, go to “Settings” from the device’s home screen; scroll down to “Privacy”; select “Advertising”; and turn on “Limit Ad Tracking.”

For Android mobile devices, go to “Google Settings” on the device; select “Ads”; and check the box labeled “Opt Out of Interest-Based Ads.”

What about COPPA & EU GDPR Article 8?

We are not responsible for the information practices of our Publisher clients. Publishers are responsible for ensuring that their apps comply fully with Article 8 of EU GDPR or COPPA, including where relevant by obtaining parental consent prior to the collection of personal information.

Unique identifiers (e.g., IP address and device identifiers) are the only “personal information” under COPPA and EU GDPR Article 8 that Adverty collects from end users. Adverty only uses the unique identifiers (and other associated information) it collects from end users to support its internal operations.

Security

We have implemented technical and administrative security measures to safeguard the information we collect from end users.
